Does WEBFISHING support cloud saves?
Currently, WEBFISHING does not support cloud saves, which means if you play on different devices (like PC and Steam Deck), you'll need to start over. However, according to patch 1.09 notes, this feature will be added soon.
How many players can join a server?
A server can host up to 12 players. With the recent update, hosts can now set a lower maximum player count when setting up a server.
What server privacy options are available?
There are 4 server privacy settings: Public, Code-only, Friends-only, and Offline/Solo. Public and code lobbies use a 6-digit code system (e.g., 'FOU2HR') that can be shared with others.
How does the server hosting work?
Servers are player-hosted and free to create. However, if the host disconnects, the entire server will close. The host has the ability to kick or ban players.
Is there voice chat in the game?
No, WEBFISHING does not include voice chat functionality. This can be seen as either a positive or negative feature depending on player preference.
How does the fishing minigame work?
The fishing minigame requires rapid mouse clicking. However, there is an autoclicker feature that can be enabled in the settings to assist with this mechanic.
Does the game save progress between sessions?
While the game doesn't save between different devices, any progress made on a specific server is saved on the device you're using. This means you won't need to restart every time you rejoin the same server.
What are the social features in the game?
Players can interact through text chat, mute and hide other players, and even draw in certain areas of the game. Players can also punch each other (which can be disabled in settings).
How does server discovery work?
Public servers are typically region-based, matching you with players in your geographical area. Before joining, you can see the host's name, player count (e.g., '[4/12]'), server name, and whether it's marked as 18+.
Are there any known technical issues?
The game keeps ALL chat history from the current session until the game is closed and reopened. Extended chat sessions can cause performance issues, making the game slow and the chat scroll bar extremely small. Currently, there's no way to clear chat history without restarting the game.

As I entered my first public lobby, I was warmly greeted with an invitation to a wedding ceremony. The proceedings were held on a private island, with drinks, snacks, and most importantly bait provided! Upon my arrival I was eagerly informed that, as part of the celebration, additional marriage proceedings would be offered upon request.
The quick popularity of this game really shows how badly people have been wanting more games that you can just jump into and play. No meta to read up on, no game seasons that force you to play to get the best rewards, and no pressure to be at a certain level to keep with other player; in this game you just gotta fish.

The human race is simply better off for this having been made. It's a benefit to mankind on the same level as fire, or electricity.
